He uses the country's varied and intricate skills, weaves and textures with brilliant effect on fusion ensembles, and traditional Indian sarees such as Dhaka' Jamdanis and pure jari Uppada sarees, brocade Paithani sarees,Gadwal,Venkatgiri, Khadi and kalamkaris.He created the brand Uppada Sarees, now it is getting famous like Kanjivaram saree which is much more costier and intricate design than Kanjivaram saree.

Working with weavers across the country he combines the ethnic methods of dyeing and weaving with modern technology. He holds the status of a revivalist in the Indian fashion industry.His designed sarees are well known personalities in India and abroad. To name, the Congress President of India is having more than fifty Khadi sarees, woven and designed by Ghanshyam Sarode, which she purchased from the Govt. shop Central Cottage Industries, New Delhi.

He has four extremely successful shows of his textiles in USA. The most celebrated ethnic designer in the country today and well established in terms of infrastructure and distribution.

He traveled all over the world on several occasions like textile fairs mainly to UK, EUROPE, KORIA, HONGKONG, DUBAI, SINGAPORE AND INDONESIA. He is a Director of Hyderabad Hi-Tech Textile Park at Kothur.
